why is adopting important?

according to the humane society,3 million cats and dogs are euthanized each year. 80% of these animals are perfectly adoptable, but since they have nowhere to go, they have to be put down.

these pets have no homes because of how overpopulated their communities are.

direct contributions to overpopulation are breeders, not spaying/neutering your pet, and puppy mills

adopting from a shelter gives an animal a new chance at life, and could potentially save them from being put down.
